Applications are now open for the BFI’s Youth Film Academy and Calling The Shots are really proud to be delivering the specialist animation camp.

We are looking for committed, talented young people between the age of 16 and 19 to be a part of the BFI Film Academy’s 2013/14 Animation Camp.

As a BFI Film Academy participant you will learn about up-to-date stop-motion animation practice and work in a team to create an animated short. You will meet industry professionals from the world-beating Bristol animation scene and hear about routes into the industry.

Course dates:

Sunday, 16th to Friday, 21st February, 2014

You need to make sure that you can attend all the dates before signing up

Location: This six-day residential course will take place in Bristol.

Fees: £50, to cover accommodation, food, materials and training.You will have to cover your transport costs.

 Bursary: Available for participants requiring assistance with fees, travel, childcare or other costs.

 Eligibility: You need to be between the ages of 16 and 19 on the first day of the Academy programme (16th February 2014). You must be a UK resident and able to commit to the programme for its duration.

Deadline: Monday, 2nd December
